Staying true to our mission of supporting core skateboarding, we knew it was time to back a campaign rooted in authenticity and community. A couple years back, Ray gave us a stash of artwork shortly after we supported the Bleacher Bowl DIY. His only request? “Do whatever you want with it.” One piece stood out, and with the help of @trueeastdesigns, we got things in motion. When we told Ray which one we were thinking of using, he just laughed and said, “Just fuck’n surprise me” - he couldn’t even remember what he’d sent us.
A few days after discussing how we would like to use the design, Ray hit us up with word that the Harrisburg crew was gearing up for another Steelton Showdown Skate Contest, happening September 27, 2025. So we knew exactly what to do.
We’re proud to drop this “’Til Death Do We Part” tee, featuring artwork by Ray Young. 100% of the profits will go directly toward covering costs for this year’s Showdown—everything from insurance and prizes to live music. But beyond the shirt, this is about the people who keep the showdown contest and the Harrisburg skate scene thriving, like the Skate Shop at Rayzor Tattoos and the Harrisburg core skaters.
Some of the key players behind this contest include;
Joe Vandall, of The Skate Shop at Rayzor Tattoos, has always played an integral part of the behind the scenes organization of the Showdown—helping to organize the contest, getting sponsors, supporting skaters year-round, and even locking in bands to play at the event. His tireless commitment to the community is a huge part of why this thing keeps going.
Nate Demuro aka “Sk8monk” and Jimmy Campbell aka “Arthead” are true OGs—lifelong skaters, artists, and local legends whose creativity and dedication helped lay the foundation for Harrisburg’s skate identity. From ramps to graphics to mentoring younger skaters, they’ve shaped the scene in ways that can’t be overstated.
Zach Rudy (of Hucklebuckle Boys) has been a consistent force of artistic support—contributing to skate events, creative projects, and community energy over the years. His involvement helps keep the spirit of these gatherings as creative as they are skate-driven.
This community has done the heavy lifting for years—localizing spots like the infamous Public Menace Ramp, navigating the fall of Buster’s Barn, pushing vert, building ramps, making art, and keeping skateboarding alive in Central PA.Now it’s our turn to give back. Order the tee now. Support the scene. Help make the 2025 Steelton Showdown one to remember.
